Nominate your favourite local charity – Sainsbury’s

All Sainsbury’s supermarkets across Norfolk are asking customers to nominate a favourite local charity.

You can pick up the nomination form from any Sainsbury’s store. They require all nominations to be submitted by 19th May 2010.

They ask the following questions:

• Who do you want the charity to be?
• State how this charity makes a difference
• How does the charity address the needs of the community?
• How best can Sainsbury’s support the charity?
• Contact details of the charity if known

Can I ask everyone that shops in Sainbury’s over the next week to pick a leaflet up and fill out the information asking for NORCAS to receive support.

Perhaps you can also pick up a couple more and ask other people you know to fill in one too. Please do tell all your friends, family, colleagues about this as there are a number of stores and NORCAS could receive support from one or more of them.

Great South Run Places

Our First Item For Sale On eBay

Today NORCAS have posted our first donated item on eBay. All proceeds from the sale of the signed Mark Hughes photo will go direct to NORCAS to continue providing our drug and alcohol services.

Google Grants Programme

NORCAS received a Christmas present at the end of last year from Google. We managed to gain approval to their grants programme that is available to charities in the UK.

The programme allows charities to advertise on Google AdWords helping to increase the presence of the charity on what has become one of the most important forms of media today.

A big thank you to Further Search Marketing for helping to make sense of all the guidelines and requirements, and setting up the campaigns.

Friends of NORCAS Charity Ball – Tickets Now On Sale

Tickets for the Friends of NORCAS Charity Ball are now on sale and we can release the following information.

The event will take place on 5th June 2010 at Dunston Hall in the Sunningdale Suite.

Dress for the evening is black tie and cocktail dresses, and the ticket price for the event is £50.

The ticket includes drinks on arrival, three course meal and coffee. Followed by a charity auction, guest MC and live band to round off the evening.

The capacity for the event is 250 people or 25 tables and we’re already half full, so please hurry up and book your tickets.

Friends of NORCAS Charity Ball – Auction Prizes

NORCAS have received fantastic support so far from local and regional businesses who have offered to help by donating prizes for our auction at our Friends of NORCAS Charity Ball.

Prizes secured include:

An appartment in Turkey for a week – thanks to Us2U Consulting

Norwich City signed shirt and match ball – thanks to NCFC

Pair of match tickets for Norwich City, Ipswich Town, England at Wembley

A tour of the Lotus production facility followed by a driving experience in the new Lotus Evora – thanks to Stratton Motor Company

An Audi A5 convertible for the weekend – thanks to Robinsons Audi

Dinner and overnight stay for 2 at Dunston Hall – thanks to De Vere Dunston Hall

Friends of NORCAS Charity Ball

NORCAS are pleased to announce the “Friends of NORCAS” Charity Ball in 2010.

The charity ball will be a black tie event and will take place at Dunston Hall on the 5th June 2010.

Great South Run 2010

NORCAS have secured 15 places in next years Great South Run. The run takes place in Portsmouth on the 24th October 2010 over a flat 10 mile course.

Norwich City sponsorship for a day

NORCAS would like to thank everybody for their hard work and support in the competition to sponsor Norwich City for a day.

Although NORCAS didn’t win the competition we did come 4th of over 40 charities that entered and that is testiment to everyones hard work and support.

Thanks to Aviva and well done to East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices.

Support Chloe in the City of Norwich Half Marathon
